Harvest Time

Found items

Merry meet all,

The next turn in the Wheel of the Year is Mabon. Mabon is the second harvest Sabbat, then Samhain. Mabon is the autumn equinox and the mid-harvest festival.

The moon currently is waning but shifting to the waxing phase. The New Moon begins on August 25th. The Harvest Moon shines on September 8th. The Harvest Moon symbolizes the harvest of food at its peak. September 22nd is the Mabon/ Autumn Equinox. There is a lot to look forward to. This is an exciting time for most Witches and Pagans because Samhain is only two months away. It is hard for me to believe. Mabon represents the balance of dark and light.

I went on a walk yesterday because I wanted to jazz up my altar. The above photo shows the nature items i found on my walk. I didn’t collect acorns though I wanted to because the acorns weren’t ripe enough. The harvest season like the acorns, is just beginning. By Mabon, it should be in full speed.

Blessed Be, Lady Spiderwitch )O(
