Embrace magick of autumn

CIMG2825

Merry meet all,

I am yet again embarking on a cool project. I want to transform an old ironing board closet into a spice rack. I painted it today. The cupboard door is gone. I love the way the cream coloured paint brightens the little closet up. The paint is drying now. I taped newspaper over the closet to keep Penny from getting into the wet paint. I love the idea of more shelf space.

The Wheel of the Year is turning again to autumn. Autumn is a season of transformation. It’s a time when we are closer to the spirits than ever before. Mabon ushers in fall. We complete our harvests from our gardens. The nights get darker earlier. The goddesses Demeter and Hecate lead us to Nyx, Persephone, and Hecate. We step into their realm on September 21st.

Now decorate your homes for fall with gorgeous decorations. Let your home reflect the colors of autumn with rich earthy colors such as wine, aubergine, orange and forest green. Use golds and taupes, pumpkins and rich browns. Gather pinecones, acorns and chinese lanterns. Fill a basket with autumn nature goodies.

Gemstones for autumn are amber, purple jasper, obsidian, honey calcite, garnet. You can use azurite, lapis lazuli, and sapphire.

Burn or make then burn scented candles. Prepare meaty healthy soups and stews. Store them in glass containers with lids in the freezer. Buy a pumpkin just for brewing soups, soup stock, breads and roasted seeds. Save some seeds to grow next spring. Stock up on squash and root veggies.

Embrace the magic of autumn.
Blessed Be, Lady Spiderwitch
